Dr Sassan Dieter Khatib-Shahidi is the Co-founder, CEO and since January, 2012, has been the Executive Director of the Board of German Imaging Technologies in Dubai.
Leading the start-up of GIT in late 1999, Dr Khatib-Shahidi has created a highly-successful compatible printing consumables company that also provides workspace printing solutions. Operating out of its Dubai facility with a steadily growing staff, GIT achieved impressive growth from inception to date, and doubled its revenue between 2008 and 2011-all in one of the worst recessions in living memory.
Dr Khatib-Shahidi heads up GIT's worldwide sales and operations team; manages its supply chain, sales, service and support, and has helped make GIT an Arabia 500 Fast Growth and Dubai SME 100 ranked company, as well as the leading manufacturer of compatible toner cartridges in the United Arab Emirates.
Prior to joining GIT, Dr Khatib-Shahidi was Attorney At Law for five years at Heuking, Kuehn, Luer, Kunz, and Wojtek, one of Germany's top-ten city law firms and member of the Dental International Group of Law Firms, London, UK, where he was lead counsel to a number of joint ventures, international corporate restructuring projects as well as a major DM 1 billion bank to government loan facility. He has also often been the source of legal and expert opinion on Middle Eastern laws on banking, arbitration, and investments. He has drawn on this expertise in his time spent studying, living and working in Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
